To be an all-around professional, both experiential and educational knowledge is needed. For more than 40 years I was an active criminal justice practitioner. Concurrently, for 30+ years I shared me of knowledge with police cadets and undergraduate criminal justice students. Moreover, for more than 20 years I conducting criminal justice research writing police department manuals, doing program evaluations, and even given expert opinions in writing and testimony in both state (Texas) and federal district courts.
