I find few things more satisfying than seeing that lightbulb moment when someone gains insight into a new piece of knowledge. That’s what drives my love for tutoring and inspiring people with confidence to meet challenges!

Throughout my years of school, I always loved forming study groups and teaching others what I knew. While earning my Engineering Degree, I spent most of my time outside of class hanging out in study rooms and computer labs going over STEM homework and projects with other students, regardless if they were in my class or not. I also started working part time at Mathnasium, a math-only tutoring center. After graduating, I wasn't expecting to be able to turn my love of sharing knowledge into a career, yet praise God for the direction He’s led my life; now I’ve been tutoring engineering, physics, and math on Wyzant for over 4 years and also been at Mathnasium over 8 years teaching elementary through high school math.

My ideal goal is to have every long-term student I tutor end up smarter/faster than I in that subject. I’m happy to say that during the years I've been tutoring on Wyzant, that goal has been met several times. My teaching method breaks down topics into simple perspectives of "I-get-it!" pieces. I apply teaching principles proven to allow kids to gain understanding in confusing topics to my educating in any level subject at any age and have even taught basic Statics and Dynamics to middle-school students. I recognize subtle differences in learning styles and use alternative methods to adapt my teaching to each student.

I was in the top of my class for nearly every STEM class in college. By a couple weeks after being first introduced to a new analytic or modeling software, I was the class expert to ask - typically had collaboration in half of the projects turned in by the entire class. I’m strong in Statics, Dynamics, Stress and Deformation Analysis, Fluid Mechanics, and Electrical-Electronic Circuits and have experience tutoring those subjects to other students during and after I took them.

Some projects I have done on Excel/Google Sheets: • Developed system that linked to the company website so employees can quickly compile a list of parts required for modular upgrade packages to forward to customers. • Developed customer-side retrieval system to return proper firmware for selected hardware add-ons. • Implemented daily scheduling system for employers to automatically communicate to employees which client's kids they will work with on a variable basis and be notified of any abrupt changes.

I grew up homeschooled and taught myself high-school Physics through a CD-ROM curriculum. Earned an A in Calculus-based Physics both I and II in college under the reportedly hardest teacher on campus.
