Throughout my years of school, I always loved forming study groups, learning from and teaching others what I knew. While earning my Engineering Degree, I spent most of my free time hanging out in study rooms and computer labs going over STEM homework and projects with other students, regardless if they were in my classes or not. I also began working part time at Mathnasium, a math-only tutoring center. After graduating, I didn't expect to be able to turn my love of sharing knowledge into a full career, yet praise God that’s where He led my life! Now I’ve been tutoring elementary math through Calculus for over 9 years at Mathnasium and also engineering and physics for over 4 years on Wyzant.

My ideal goal is to have every long-term student I tutor end up smarter/faster than I in that subject. I’m happy to say that during the years I've been tutoring on Wyzant, that goal has been met several times. My teaching method breaks down topics into simple perspectives of "I-get-it!" pieces. I apply teaching principles proven to allow kids to gain understanding in confusing topics to my educating in any level subject at any age and have even taught Statics and Dynamics to middle-school students. I recognize subtle differences a person’s learning style and use alternative techniques to adapt my teaching to meet each student.

I was in the top of my class for nearly every STEM class in college. By a couple weeks after being first introduced to a new analytic or modeling software, I was the class expert to ask - typically had collaboration in half of the projects turned in by the entire class. I’m strong in Statics, Dynamics, Stress and Deformation Analysis, Fluid Mechanics, and Electrical-Electronic Circuits and have experience tutoring those subjects to other students during and after I took them.

Some projects I have done on Excel/Google Sheets: • Developed system that linked to the company website so employees can quickly compile a list of parts required for modular upgrade packages to forward to customers. • Developed customer-side retrieval system to return proper firmware for selected hardware add-ons. • Implemented daily scheduling system for employers to automatically communicate to employees which client's kids they will work with on a variable basis and be notified of any abrupt changes.

Lessons on Mechanical Engineering (Statics)

Bryson tutored my son in Mechanical Engineering (Statics). He was able to answer even the most difficult problems. His explanations were very through and helped to explain the “why” behind the answer. Lessons were easy to schedule, even with short notice. I Highly recommend Bryson for any type of Math, even advanced college level courses including Mechanical Engineering topics.
