Hello, my name is Mrs. S. I graduated cum laude from the University of Houston with a degree in communication science disorders with a double minor in education and child development. I am also a fluent Spanish speaker with ability to also read and write. I have been teaching in the Houston Independent School district for two years but I have been in education for ten years. I started out in the Pearland Independent school district where I went to school and where my mother taught as well. She has been an educator for over twenty years and is my inspiration for teaching.
My passion would have to be for teaching students one-one-one. I have over seven years of experience within the tutoring and education system. I have also developed several lesson plans and recovery programs to advance my students’ learning potential. Throughout college, I worked as a tutor at the university and at an after school program, Tutoring Club, for about five years total. I also worked as an academic tutor in high school for my fellow classmates. I was an independent tutor with several companies throughout the past couple years which solidified my love for independent teaching.
My response time is 3 hours. I require a 24 hour notice for cancellations.
I have a degree in communication and studies the language development in children and adults. I have also taught literacy within several grades. I am fluent in Spanish with the ability to read and write.
I have many years of experience teaching literacy Within all elementary grades.
