I have been teaching the past 5 years in public schools. I enjoy motivating students and helping them reach their academic potential by asking questions that clarifies their understanding of academic concepts they need to master. I usually will seek to introduce the skill I am teaching in a manner that relates to an experience they can relate to. I am very keen upon clarifying vocabulary in a problem that I deem is pertinent to my student’s ability to visualize the problem.

What I love about teaching is empowering students with a mentality that will allow them to solve problems independently which subsequently increases their desire to learn and seek personal academic growth. I believe learning is a fun experience that requires dedication and a commitment towards growth which necessitates consistently practicing skills you are taught.

I love math I have been teaching Math the past 5 years as a certified teacher working in public education. I generally emphasize an approach that focuses upon outlining or circling key information in a problem and then asking questions that clarify the student’s understanding of what additional steps they should pursue in order to solve problems. I have worked with students with varying abilities so I’ve learned to adjust my teaching approach to meet the needs of my students. Some students need more of a visual approach which requires drawing lots of pictures or utilizing props to stimulate interest and enhance their understanding of the material presented to them. Other students require a more information based approach where explaining concepts by focusing on the information in the problem is more helpful in terms of solving the problem accurately.
