I believe that tennis provides an excellent scholarship opportunity for students and that even those with average athletic ability will be able to play at the collegiate level with proper training and dedication. My philosophy is to develop all court players that can incorporate the physical, mental, and strategic aspects of the game at the competition level.
20+ years experience playing tennis and passion for the game. My goal is to provide observations and feedback to players that allows them to improve specific components of their game. I can act as solid hitting / practice partner for competitive players. I like to base practice sessions on specific drills that focus on areas of weakness in a player's game. With respect to technique, I teach only classical tennis that uses continental and eastern grips which is in stark contrast to the "modern tennis" with semi-western grips that is being taught by most people today. Because of this, my preference is for students that have little to no tennis experience, or students that have a natural tendency to hit a flat ball and struggle to hit top spin.
