Experienced Spanish language tutor

Hello! I am a creative, hard-working and professional Spanish tutor. I spent ten years living in Guatemala City where I worked in a nonprofit community organization that provides education, emotional support and arts and culture to teenagers and youth living in poverty. Upon returning to the United States, I have worked in education and youth development, and would love to share my knowledge of the Spanish language with new students. Whether you are interested in acquiring language skills for professional reasons, travel or for meeting new friends, I would love to find the lesson plans and areas of teaching focus that are right for you.

I attended graduate school in a Spanish speaking university, as well as conducted my graduate research completely in Spanish, therefore I am very competent in many areas of technical or professional Spanish as well as Spanish related to non-profit work such as grant-writing, monitoring and evaluation of projects and legal terminology. I also love to teach conversational Spanish, so that you can have the confidence to meet new people and communicate effectively while you travel.

I have a bachelor's in fine arts from the Syracuse University Acting program and 10 years of experience using theater as a medium for learning and personal growth with teenagers and young people.
