I have played tournaments since I was 5 years old. I was part of the Venezuelan National selection in 1981 and 1982. I came to the United States with a tennis scholarship and became the Wharton County Junior College first "All American" in tennis in the school history by reaching the semi-finals in the National tournament. Later, I went to the University of Texas at Tyler with a tennis and academic scholarship. The team became the NAIA National Champions in 1989. I have been teaching mostly juniors for the last three years. My philosophy is that each player is different therefore, I do not have a lesson plan until I can see the player hit some balls. I can immediately spot weaknesses and adjust the lesson based on these weaknesses. My classes are very active. Be ready to hit hundreds of balls from day 1.
I encourage students to consider experience as a factor. It is not just about correcting strokes, it is about a vision. I will teach you how to actually play the game to win.
