As a Spanish tutor, which I have enjoyed doing over the years, I have realized that different students have different abilities and methods of learning a language. During my first meeting with a student I assess his level of Spanish, evaluate his/her needs and preferences, determine the level of confidence, and pin-point, if there are any, fears or negative assumptions that can block the learning of the Spanish language.
As a tutor I try to customize the lessons with a healthy balance of grammatical structure, reading, listening, comprehension, writing and speaking. My goal is to make the classes so engaging, interesting, and fun that the students feel a sense of empowerment and inspiration.
I have a BA in Education from the National University of Mexico. I have a post-graduate degree in Teaching and Research methodologies. My level of Spanish is university level and I have tutored students on all ages and levels of learning throughout my professional career.
