Hi! I am Ashley from Houston, Texas. Born into a family of teachers, I knew I would become a teacher just like my mother, grandmothers, aunts, and cousins. I have had the pleasure of teaching children, teenagers, and adults. Whether teaching in a public school, private school, online, or in a university setting, I believe learning should be fun, exciting, and practical. I encourage students to ask questions and to share their thoughts.

I specialize in assisting high school students in achieving higher SAT and ACT scores. In the past twelve years, I have been training students to think systemically and to explain their problem-solving processes. Using a diagnostic-prescriptive tutoring approach, I create cumulative, custom quizzes to review content and timed drills to increase accuracy. To build confidence in their critical thinking skills, I also encourage students to ‘think like a test-maker’ and design their own test questions.

My aim is to exceed my student’s expectation as well as their parent’s expectations. I provide exceptional service to my students and parents with well-planned, interactive, engaging lessons. I am very open to feedback and suggestion and never bill for a lesson in which the student or parent is not 100% satisfied with my tutoring. I am extremely flexible with my time and offer a two-hour cancellation policy. I look forward to speaking with you soon and assisting you in achieving your child’s educational goals!

Amazing Tutor!!!

Ashley is by far the best tutor I have had the pleasure of working with. With me being out of school for almost 8 years and pretty much having to be refreshed on alot of Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry was a challenge I thought ,but not with Ashley. She was able to teach me all the fundamental skills and best practices to help me achieve my Taks test goal, in which I had to take in less than 2 weeks. Feeling discouraged was not allowed. Ashley continuously stayed positive ,and made sure whatever I did not understand was turned into a strong skill for me. When I took the test everything Ashley taught me was there. I truly felt confident! She is truly a kind, patience, and great teacher. Test prep or just help in school she does it all! I would recommend her to anyone seeking help in math period.
