After graduation, he immediately joined the professional theatre circuit in Houston, garnering roles at the Alley Theatre, Main Street Theater, The Great Caruso and many others. In the fall of 2002, he became a full-time company member of a youth theater group. After almost three years and one thousand performances, he left to pursue a start up theatrical film/theatre company and wound up co-producing the film Washington's Cross, and starring in the Oath of Desormeau. The theatre company went on to win kudos and awards at the San Antonio Independent Film Festival, including a Best of Festival and two Audience Choice awards, in 2004 and 2006. In 2007, he launched a theatre environment aimed at teaching children virtue through theatrical art. Santry now acts as a senior writer this theatre company. In 2011, he began mentoring students to help them achieve their dreams of going to college.
