I have a B.A. In Philosophy with a minor in Computer Science from Stephen F. Austin State University. I spent four and a half (4 1/2) years tutoring math at the tutoring center there and have been certified at Master level under CRLA. I am continuing my education to work in the church as a teacher and to disciple young men as I pursue my Master's in Seminary.

I love Greek and Latin. One of my goals is to translate for myself the entire New Testament from Greek into English. Along the way, I also plan to work Eusebius' Ecclesiastical History from the Greek to the English.

As for Math, I have tutored college and High School subjects ranging from developmental to Calculus II and Statistics.

I have taught at and helped run camps for Programming and Game design as well as Chess and some Minecraft for two years now. Lonestar College CyFair hold a program called Discovery College where elementary and junior high students can get a taste of the college experience by taking fun courses, like web animation and web design.

I love to teach, to see that light in people's eyes when they accomplish what they didn't know they could do. One thing I've learned is never to underestimate what a student is capable of, because low expectations can cripple a student before they even begin.

My philosophy on teaching is that learning is based around the student and must start at the student's knowledge. I like to spend some time with the student and personally guide them though the material. I'm always pushing my students to challenge themselves and think for themselves so that they can in turn take their new knowledge and pass it on to others.

If you would like more information or have any questions for me, please contact me and I will reply as soon as I can. I can't wait work with you or your child.

The times I have available at the moment are:
Monday-Thrusday: before 2:30pm and after 7:15pm.
Some Fridays and Saturdays.

A great tutor.

Great tutor. We meet at a local Denny's restaurant and he helped me understand the U-substitution, 1st and 2nd fundamental theorem of Calculus. He helped me understand a trigonometric definite integral problem as well. I had budgeted 1 hour of time and he was able to answer all my questions within that time frame and was accommodating to my hearing impairment disability. I would recommend Christian as a tutor and plan to ask his help again in the future when I need it. Thanks.

SAT Preperation

It seems to me that my daughter likes his teaching styles, and has learnt quite a bit from the first two lessons.
