I am a Texas certified teacher that brings years of experience working with children and adults of various academic levels, abilities and needs, (i.e. ADD, Dyslexia and other learning differences.)
It is my goal to supplement what your student is learning in the classroom and provide strategies that will help him/her succeed. As I assess your student, I will identify gaps or weaknesses that we can work on and strengthen to create a more comprehensive learning strategy that can be utilized...

It is my goal to supplement what your student is learning in the classroom and provide strategies that will help him/her succeed. As I assess your student, I will identify gaps or weaknesses that we can work on and strengthen to create a more comprehensive learning strategy that can be utilized indefinitely throughout your student's academic career.
I will come prepared to work and will expect your student to do the same. As we work together, I'm confident that we will see improvement immediately and consistently. As the student continues to show progress, their confidence level will sky rocket and learning won't be so hard.

I have taught children with ADD/ADHD and dyslexia in a specialized school using a specialized technique. I also have been certified in Special Education and have taught students with mild to moderate learning disabilities in a public school system, including ADD/ADHD. I have also served as a children's mental health case manager and have counseled children and their families with specific disorders.

I have been trained in techniques to teach children with dyslexia and ADHD. I have taught in a specialized school that concentrated only on dyslexics and children with ADHD/ADD. I have also been a counselor/case manager for children with learning and behavioral disabilities, and have been certified in special education.

I am currently certified in Elementary Education for the state of Texas (Pre-K-6th). I have taught in several school districts in Houston since relocating here in 2011. I am primarily a Reading teacher, however, I can also help with study skills, and learning strategies for students with ADHD, Dyslexia and other learning differences.

I have experience teaching reading, comprehension, sentence structure, vocabulary and other reading components to students of all ages and abilities. Reading is one of my most proficient subjects and I enjoy coming up with inventive ways to teach it.

Study skills are imperative for anyone who needs to be successful. I have taught effective study skills to children with mild to moderate learning disabilities as well as coached those who just needed to improve in certain areas.
