Hi! I’m Vincent and I’m a CRLA level III certified tutor with five years of dual credit and college student tutoring. My schooling consists of a bachelor’s degree in studio arts with a minor in art history and I’m currently working towards an associate in engineering. My honors are the dean’s list at both the community college and university level. I’m in the Honor Society and I graduated cum laude at University of Houston-Clear Lake. I’m part of Phi Theta Kappa at San Jacinto College. I have extensive experience in both studio and graphic art. For my work experience in graphics, I participated in an internship working a contract for NASA in the Leidos decal lab. I’ve done coursework for autoCAD.
I’m currently working as a tutor and a high school special education inclusion paraprofessional. I have experience in behavioral management with disciplinary and special education students. I plan to become a special education teacher this year. As a SPED paraprofessional, I work with high school students in the classroom, in small groups, and in 1-on-1 settings. At the college level my tutoring sessions are typically 1-on-1.
My tutoring approach consists of focusing on what we can do instead of what we’re telling ourselves we can’t do. Everyone should have access to education and experience learning in a way that makes sense to them. It’s important to have fun while learning and I bring creativity and new perspectives to my tutoring sessions. I fully believe there is nothing that someone can’t do.
