I am a current Chemistry Professor with more than 34 years of combined teaching experience, including 24 years in the United States and 10 years of international teaching experience. I have taught Physical science, Biology and Chemistry at the high school level for more than 25 years and have over 10 years of experience teaching college-level Chemistry. My teaching background includes Elementary Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, and college Chemistry. I have also served as an Assistant Principal, where I supported instruction, assessment, curriculum, teachers, and student achievement.
Throughout my career, I have worked with students across a wide range of ages, abilities, and learning needs in classroom and individualized settings. My approach is student-centered and focuses on making challenging concepts understandable through step-by-step explanations, real-world connections, identifying misconceptions, and adapting instruction to individual learning needs. I have extensive experience helping students with homework, exam preparation, study skills, and building confidence in science. My international and U.S. teaching experience, combined with my current college teaching and educational leadership experience, gives me a broad perspective and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds. My goal is to help students strengthen their understanding, improve their performance, and develop the skills and confidence needed for long-term academic success.
