I am a credentialed mathematics educator with 26 years of teaching experience in public school settings. I am a credentialed mathematics educator with 26 years of teaching experience in public school settings. I earned a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Mathematics from California State University East Bay. Most of my experience has been teaching middle school mathematics, particularly 7th grade, and I have also taught high school Algebra I and Algebra II. Throughout my career, I have worked with students with a wide range of academic abilities and have helped students strengthen foundational skills, improve achievement, and develop greater confidence in mathematics.

In addition to classroom instruction, I have extensive experience providing one-on-one tutoring, small-group instruction, intervention, targeted reteaching, homework assistance, and test preparation. My approach begins with identifying what a student already understands and determining where learning gaps exist. I break challenging concepts into manageable steps, model problem-solving strategies, provide guided practice, and gradually help students become independent problem solvers. I emphasize understanding why mathematical procedures work rather than simply memorizing steps.

My teaching experience and mathematics credential qualify me to tutor Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra I. I enjoy helping students who are struggling as well as students who want additional practice or enrichment.
