I’m a Master’s student in Data Science at Rice University (Machine Learning specialization, graduating December 2026) and a Summa Cum Laude Economics graduate from the University of Houston. When I’m not in class, I am currently interning full-time as an AI and Data Engineer at a robotics company in Houston, where I use math, statistics, and programming every single day to solve real problems.
I believe most students who struggle with math aren’t bad at math. They’re missing one or two foundational concepts from earlier that make everything after feel harder than it should. My first session with a new student is always partly diagnostic: I want to figure out where the gap actually is, then build from there. I keep sessions structured but conversational, I explain things multiple ways until one clicks, and I give honest feedback about what’s working and what isn’t. Progress reports go to parents after every few sessions so you always know where your student stands.
I’m happy to meet in person around the Houston area (Rice Village, Heights, River Oaks, Bellaire, West University, Memorial, Museum District, and downtown are easiest for me) or online through Wyzant’s platform. Feel free to message me with your student’s grade, subject, and goals, and I’ll get back to you within 24 hours.
