Hello. I am an incoming freshman at Carnegie Mellon University, majoring in Statistics and Machine Learning. Having recently graduated from high school, I am offering SAT and mathematics tutoring to help save for college expenses.
Throughout high school, I completed every mathematics course available to me and earned scores of 5 on both AP Statistics and AP Calculus BC (including the AB subscore). I also achieved a perfect 1600 on the SAT and graduated as the valedictorian of my high school's Class of 2026.
I have substantial experience teaching mathematics and providing SAT support. Last summer, I worked approximately 20–25 hours per week at HuaXia Chinese School, where I taught students in the Katy ISD mathematics curriculum. I have experience working with students across a wide range of skill levels, from elementary mathematics through Algebra II. Among the subjects I teach, Algebra II and Geometry are my favorites due to the problem-solving and conceptual thinking they encourage.
In addition to mathematics instruction, I assisted several students with SAT preparation, focusing on vocabulary development and reading comprehension strategies. While much of my experience was in a classroom and small-group environment, I also gained valuable one-on-one tutoring experience, allowing me to adapt my teaching style to each student's individual needs and learning goals.
