Hello! My name is Mark and I am a 4th year USMD medical student who scored a 270 (94th percentile) on USMLE Step 2 CK. I achieved multiple 80th-90th percentile scores on the NBME shelf exams during 3rd year.

My approach to tutoring goes far beyond simply reviewing content. I will take the time to ensure you master not only clinical reasoning but also the test-taking strategy and question interpretation that is paramount to success on Step 2. During our sessions I will help you identify patterns in your mistakes, refine your thought process, and learn how to efficiently approach NBME-style questions. Together we will break down challenging questions, recognize common distractor answer choices and develop a framework for consistently arriving at the correct answer.

In addition to question review I work with students to create personalized study plans tailored to their goals, timeline, and current performance. Whether you are aiming to pass, reach a specific score target, or maximize your competitiveness for residency applications, I will help you develop an efficient and sustainable strategy.

As for my experience, teaching has always been a passion of mine throughout my education. During college, I served as both a private tutor and TA for general and organic chemistry courses. I also helped develop educational video content to help students learn organic chemistry outside the classroom. These experiences taught me how to explain complex concepts in a clear, approachable way and personalize my teaching to meet my student's needs.
