I specialize in NCLEX and FNP exam preparation, clinical reasoning, and high-yield testing strategies, with a focus on helping students master NGN-style questions, strengthen clinical judgment, and confidently break down complex exam questions.

I passed the NCLEX in 2018 in 76 questions (just one over the minimum on the previous format!) and completed my ANCC nurse practitioner board certification exam using the same structured, strategy-based approach I teach my students.

I have also worked with a national NCLEX test prep company, where I reviewed exam-style questions and rationales. This further strengthened my skills in nursing education, clinical reasoning, and test preparation.

I have clinical experience in inpatient cardiac care / med-surg nursing, pediatrics, women’s health, and urology, which allows me to support a wide range of nursing content areas.

My core tutoring focus includes: NCLEX test strategy, clinical judgment, and NGN style test taking, FNP board exam preparation (ANCC & AANP), Pharmacology (medication classes, high-yield concepts), and General nursing coursework support.

In addition, I have strong experience in academic and medical writing, including grammar, structure, and scientific composition. My writing skills helped me earn multiple scholarships that fully funded my nurse practitioner education.

My goal is to help students reduce test anxiety by building strong foundational knowledge, critical thinking skills, and effective test taking strategies. I want every student to leave each session feeling more confident, calm, and prepared.

As one of my prior instructors used to say: “The test does not have to beat you. You can beat the test!”

Hope to hear from you soon!

Approved Subjects

English

English

I am a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) with extensive experience in academic and professional writing. English and writing were among my strongest subjects throughout my education, and I earned over $20,000 in scholarships through competitive essay writing, which fully funded my graduate education. I also volunteer with a nonprofit organization, where I help first-generation college students with resumes, cover letters, personal statements, and essay editing. My goal is to help students become stronger and more confident in English and writing abilities, while also developing their critical thinking and communication skills needed for long-term academic success.
HESI (Nursing exam)

HESI (Nursing exam)

I am a Registered Nurse (RN, BSN) and Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) with tutoring experience since 2018. I have helped nursing students succeed in challenging classes by breaking down concepts into clear, understandable steps and developing effective study strategies. My graduate-level background in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and clinical nursing provides a strong foundation for helping students prepare for the HESI exam and strengthen their knowledge needed for success in nursing school. I focus on improving critical thinking skills, reducing test anxiety, and helping students achieve their goal of gaining admission to nursing school!

My broad experience allows me to easily explain and relate nursing content to clinical practice. I also help students develop testing strategies and overall confidence for exams. Additionally, I work part-time with a national NCLEX test prep company, reviewing and revising exam-style questions and rationales.

Pharmacology

I am a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC), Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), and Registered Nurse (RN, BSN) with clinical experience since 2018. My pharmacology expertise comes from both graduate level MSN coursework and direct clinical practice involving medication and pharmacologic management. I have extensive experience with pharmacologic concepts including mechanisms of action, drug interactions, adverse effects, and safe dosing across a variety of patient populations. I specialize in helping students master pharmacology concepts by connecting foundational principles to real-life clinical scenarios. I also incorporate engaging, strategic techniques to make memorization easier and more effective for exams!
