If you are looking for more than just surface-level memorization, welcome. My goal is to help students truly master challenging STEM concepts while building the core confidence needed to excel under pressure. I bring over 10 years of private tutoring experience backed by a world-class academic foundation. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from MIT with a perfect GPA, double-majoring in Mechanical and Biological Engineering.
I was subsequently awarded the Rhodes Scholarship, allowing me to complete my PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Oxford University. Additionally, I hold an MIT MicroMasters in Statistics and Data Science. My own academic journey began with a perfect IB score (including four Higher Level courses in 2015) and perfect SAT Subject Test scores. I specialize in teaching mathematics at all levels, alongside high school and college-level Chemistry and Physics.
Having worked with middle school, high school, and university students for a decade, I understand that no two learners are identical. I completely tailor every lesson to the student's unique personality, baseline needs, and natural learning style.
My teaching philosophy relies on what I call a "gradual encounter." I do not shy away from challenging my students. Instead, I carefully guide them through progressively complex problems so they can deduce foundational principles on their own. This methodology transforms learning from passive listening into active discovery. Rather than just helping a student pass their next exam, I teach them how to think like a scientist and problem-solve like an engineer.
Over the last ten years, this tailored, concept-first approach has consistently helped my students completely transform their relationship with STEM. They don't just walk away with great grades and top-tier test scores, but also leave with a genuine appreciation for the material and a rigorous academic mindset that serves them long after our sessions end.
