My name is Griff, and I just graduated from Rice University with a bachelors degree in Biology. In high school, I scored a perfect 36 on every section of the ACT, so I know firsthand what it actually takes to master this test under real conditions. I bring that experience directly into my sessions to help students with pacing, question triage, and test-day strategies.

At Rice, I've spent four years as a volunteer with PAIR (Partnership for the Advancement and Immersion of Refugees), where I've spent over 300 hours providing one-on-one instruction in subjects ranging from beginner English to AP Calculus, and of course, the ACT & SAT.

As a tutor, I'm inspired by Sal Khan's philosophy, "you can learn anything", and in four years of tutoring, I've seen it hold true again and again. My goal is to build skill and confidence together using an adaptive curriculum continuously tailored to your student. Whether you're aiming to improve on just one section or chasing a perfect score, I'll start from exactly where you are and build a plan to get you where you want to be. I draw from the resources I've found actually move the needle for students, and assign practice tailored to specific gaps and goals rather than a one-size-fits-all packet.
