I am a dedicated tutor with experience working with students in both tutoring and ESL educational settings at a high school, college, and elementary level. I graduated from the University of Houston with dual degrees in Biology and Economics while maintaining a 4.0 GPA, earned a 34 ACT score, and received a full academic scholarship to attend college. I am currently pursuing a Master of Public Health degree at University of Texas Medical Branch, where I have continued developing strong communication, leadership, collaboration, and public speaking skills that help me work effectively with students and families.

I have mentored students throughout college through an English and Writing tutoring program at my college and have helped individuals prepare for standardized exams like the MCAT, SAT, and ACT. I have over a year of experience tutoring elementary students in math through Kumon, where I worked one-on-one with students on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, mental math, and word problems. I regularly helped students who were struggling academically or lacked confidence by breaking concepts into smaller, manageable steps and adapting lessons to each student’s pace and learning style. I also spent a year working with ESL elementary students through EConnected, helping students improve reading comprehension, pronunciation, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, and writing skills while building confidence in speaking and understanding English.

My tutoring approach is patient, encouraging, and personalized to each student’s needs. I specialize in elementary math, reading, and writing, and I believe creating a supportive learning environment is key to helping students succeed academically and gain confidence. My goal is not only to help students improve grades and complete assignments, but also to help them develop long-term learning skills and a stronger enjoyment of learning.
