I have tutored 30+ students over the last year on the MCAT at my alma mater and surrounding universities, only recently moving onto Wyzant to expand my student base and provide lesson flexibility as I start medical school this upcoming fall. I specialize in creating personalized study plans based on each student’s needs, whether on content review, passage practice, or full-length exam strategy. I focus on building deep understanding while teaching the reasoning skills required to succeed on the MCAT.

I have tutored college students, including many premed students, in neuroscience, physics, chemistry, and other science courses as they prepare for the MCAT or complete their prerequisite classes. I also have experience working with high school students on SAT and ACT preparation. I usually work one-on-one and focus on breaking down difficult concepts step by step while connecting them to the bigger picture.

MCAT

I am an incoming MS1 medical student at the University of Pennsylvania (Perelman School of Medicine). I scored a 524 on the MCAT on my first attempt with a strong balanced breakdown: Chem/Phys 131, CARS 132, Bio/Biochem 129, and Psych/Soc 132. I have extensive experience tutoring premed students in all MCAT content areas, with 30+ students over the last year at my alma mater and surrounding universities, only recently moving onto Wyzant to expand my student base and provide lesson flexibility as I start medical school this upcoming fall. I adapt my tutoring sessions to each student’s needs, whether they need help with content review, passage practice, or full-length exam strategy. I focus on building deep understanding while teaching the reasoning skills required to succeed on the MCAT.

Best MCAT tutor I've worked with

I've been working with Daniel for four weeks so far, and I can honestly say he made a huge difference in how I approached the exam. We started by reviewing my past retakes and figuring out exactly where I was losing points, especially in Bio/Biochem and certain passage-based reasoning areas. Over multiple sessions, he helped me strengthen my content understanding in the weaker spots while teaching me much more effective ways to analyze passages and eliminate wrong answers quickly. What I appreciated most was how personalized everything felt. He tailored each session to what I needed that week, whether it was diving deep into specific concepts, practicing tough passages together, or refining my timing and endurance on full-length sections. My practice scores have climbed 17 points over the past month, and I felt way more confident now as I prepare to go into test day. Daniel is an outstanding tutor who genuinely knows how to break down the MCAT and teach the reasoning skills that actually matter. Highly recommend him to anyone serious about improving their MCAT score.
