Counting Confidence: Come learn with Mrs. Arala! I support students in grades 2 through 8 in building the skills and confidence they need to succeed in math. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from CSU and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University. I am certified in the state of Texas to teach Early Childhood through 8th grade in all subjects, and I also hold a K–12 Principal certification as an instructional leader. These experiences have given me a strong foundation in both content knowledge and effective teaching practices.
With over 10 years of experience in education, I have served as a Math Teacher, Math Interventionist, and Math Instructional Coach, and I currently work as an Assistant Principal supporting and coaching math instructional leaders. I have taught in classroom settings, worked with small groups, and provided individualized, one-on-one support to help students close gaps and excel. My approach focuses on strengthening foundational skills, using real-world connections to make math meaningful, and equipping students with strategies that build independence and confidence.
I specialize in supporting diverse learners, including students with ADHD, by creating engaging, structured, and supportive learning environments. I believe every student can develop a love for math and achieve at high levels. My goal is to help each child grow in confidence, reach their full potential, and experience success not only in math but across all subject areas.
