Hello,
I am a medical student who loves to teach all things math and science, especially chemistry, biology, anatomy, and physiology! I have been tutoring since high school and have enjoyed watching students learn and improve. I follow several approaches depending on what my student needs, but I try to implement active learning and consistent engagement during sessions. I like to quiz and have students walk me through their thought process, and tackle the tough areas whenever they arise- always with a growth mindset. I like to emphasize a judgment-free zone and make sure students are never afraid to ask any question that pops into mind.
My goals are to make independent and enthusiastic learners, as the right attitude can really set you up for success in any part of life. Having been in engineering for undergrad and medical school, I have learned lots of study strategies and approaches and have developed a passion for the practical applications of math and science in the real world (which makes it more fun). I cater study approaches to what works for each student and what works for the specific subject.
I offer online lessons with flexible availability as well as a free 15-minute consultation session to introduce ourselves and make a game plan so that when we start lessons, we can work more efficiently. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or even just need some written advice. Thank you!
