Hello! My name is Aden, and I'm a Senior at Rice University studying Electrical and Computer Engineering. As a First-Generation Low-Income (FGLI) student myself, I am deeply passionate about bridging the exposure gap for students from underrepresented/underresourced backgrounds to create a more diverse and inspiring academic environment. Because of my background, I understand the importance of patient and empathetic teaching. Regardless of my students' skill level, I'm determined to meet them where they are and help them achieve their goals to the best of both of our abilities. My tutoring approach is centered on building a strong intuition about the fundamentals through thorough conceptual explanations paired with frequent practice problems to further solidify students' understanding.
My technical background is backed by extensive tutoring and teaching experience. In the past, I've tutored and graded Calculus courses at the University level for 2 years, with 1 year of teaching experience in Calculus and Physics. I've also worked as a Teaching Assistant for 2 years in Rice's Digital Design and VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) courses and held various mentorship and leadership positions in Engineering clubs, such as Robotics, throughout my career. Much of my experience is working with High School and college-age students, though I'm also willing to tutor younger age groups. Whether you are tackling complex Electrical Engineering concepts or foundational Math, I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals!
