Hi I'm Shehrez and am currently a graduate student!

Many students struggle with Algebra not because they lack ability, but because the concepts were never explained in a way that truly made sense to them. My goal as a tutor is to break down Algebra step-by-step so students can clearly understand the reasoning behind each problem and build confidence in their math skills.

In addition to my academic background, I have experience working directly with students in structured learning environments. I previously worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) providing one-on-one educational and behavioral support for children and adolescents in clinical and school settings. In this role I regularly helped students work through academic tasks, break down complex problems into manageable steps, and build confidence in challenging subjects. I have also tutored students informally in math and academic subjects, helping them work through homework assignments, test preparation, and foundational concepts.

My tutoring approach focuses on clarity, patience, and active problem solving. This approach helps students move beyond memorizing formulas and instead develop a deeper understanding of how Algebra works. I especially enjoy helping students who feel frustrated or overwhelmed by Algebra finally see the material start to make sense.
