I am currently an Internal Medicine resident at UTMB and a graduate of ATSU–SOMA, where I finished at the top of my medical school class. I earned a 265 on USMLE Step 2 CK and scored above the 90th percentile on COMLEX Level 2 and Level 3. In addition to my clinical training, I have extensive experience in medical research with multiple publications, and I recently authored and published an evidence-based medical book with Springer. My academic background and exam performance reflect a deep understanding of both foundational science and applied clinical reasoning.
My teaching experience began in college, where I volunteered as a tutor for general chemistry and organic chemistry, helping undergraduate students master difficult concepts and improve their problem-solving skills in a one-on-one setting. Many of the students I worked with initially struggled academically, and I learned how to adapt my teaching style to different learning needs, focusing on clarity, repetition, and practical strategies rather than rote memorization. These early experiences shaped my ability to explain complex material in a clear and approachable way.
As a resident physician, teaching is now a daily part of my professional role. I regularly teach medical students and interns on the wards through bedside instruction, small-group discussions, and one-on-one coaching. This includes guiding learners through clinical reasoning, helping them interpret exam questions, and reinforcing high-yield concepts relevant to standardized testing. Having personally overcome early academic challenges, I am especially passionate about helping students develop effective study habits, confidence, and test-taking strategies that lead to long-term success.
