I hold a technology degree in Import and Export and am Yellow Belt and Lean Six Sigma certified. I am a supply chain professional with over 17 years of experience, including the past 10 years working in the United States. My academic and professional background allows me to tutor English and Portuguese with a strong focus on real-world and professional communication.
I have informal tutoring and teaching experience through volunteer work in Brazil, where I supported adult learners in import and export topics at a professional training school. I have also volunteered teaching basic English to children. In addition, I currently serve as a mentor to young professionals at the company where I work, supporting their career development and professional communication skills. These experiences have helped me develop a patient, practical teaching style and adapt lessons to different ages and learning goals.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to help students overcome fear and lack of confidence when speaking English. As a non-native English speaker who built a professional career in the U.S., I understand the challenges of communicating in daily life and at work. I specialize in helping adults improve professional English for emails, meetings, and calls, as well as conversational English for teens and young adults who want to build fluency and confidence. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable practicing and progressing.
