I am currently a medical student at Baylor College of Medicine, building on a strong academic foundation from my Biomedical Engineering degree at Johns Hopkins University. My training has combined rigorous science coursework with hands-on clinical and research experiences, which has helped me develop a deep understanding of complex biology, physiology, and problem-solving approaches in medicine and engineering. I enjoy translating challenging material into clear, approachable explanations that make students feel confident rather than overwhelmed.

My tutoring experience has grown out of both formal teaching roles and collaborative academic environments. As a teaching assistant, I worked closely with students in laboratory-based engineering and medical coursework, guiding them through concepts such as tissue engineering, physiology, and scientific reasoning. I have supported learners in one-on-one conversations, small group workshops, and structured class settings, helping students refine study strategies, break down difficult topics, and connect theoretical ideas to real-world applications. My approach is patient and supportive: I start by understanding what a student already knows, identify gaps gently, and then build step-by-step understanding using examples, visuals, and active questioning.

I have worked with high school, college, and early graduate-level learners, often over semester-long periods, which has helped me understand how different learning styles benefit from different teaching methods. I emphasize organization, confidence-building, and curiosity — encouraging students not just to memorize information, but to understand why it matters and how to apply it. Tutoring is meaningful to me because I remember how important supportive mentors were in my own education, and I enjoy creating that same environment for others as they work toward their goals.
