I have been playing saxophone and trumpet since I was about seven years old, and music has been a consistent part of my life ever since. I am currently 19, almost 20, and I still play and practice regularly. Over the years, I have developed strong fundamentals in tone, breathing, rhythm, and overall musicianship through consistent practice and real performance experience. I may not have a formal music degree yet, but my experience comes from actually playing in live settings and continuously working on my craft.
I actively play saxophone and trumpet for churches and concerts, and I continue to do so today. I have performed during church services, worship events, and special programs, as well as in concert-style settings where preparation, timing, and confidence are important. I have also been paid for some of these performances, which has taught me how to be reliable, prepared, and professional when working with other musicians and leaders. Playing in these environments has helped me understand how to apply technique and practice to real music, not just exercises.
When teaching, I focus on helping students build a strong foundation while keeping lessons encouraging and easy to understand. I work best with beginner to early-intermediate students of different ages and usually teach in one-on-one settings. I help students with basics like embouchure, breathing, reading music, and developing good practice habits, while also showing them how to enjoy playing their instrument. My goal is to help students gain confidence, improve consistently, and feel proud of their progress.
