Hi! I’m Pablo, and I’m a bilingual English/Spanish-speaking neuroscientist with a PhD in Neuroscience. My academic and research career has focused on the molecular mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases, and along the way I’ve had the opportunity to teach at many levels. I’ve taught in primary and secondary schools, worked as a teaching assistant and tutor during my undergraduate Biology studies, and have spent over ten years as a private tutor in both science and music. I also have experience as university faculty, teaching graduate (PhD) students courses on neurodegenerative diseases. These diverse experiences have shaped a teaching style that is patient, clear, and adaptable to students of all backgrounds.
In my tutoring sessions, my goal is always to make science intuitive and accessible. I break down challenging concepts using simple explanations, real-world examples, and analogies that help spark understanding. From there, I guide students step by step toward more complex material, always leaving time for practice and ensuring they can confidently apply what they learn. Whether a student needs support in building strong foundations, preparing for exams, improving grades, or developing long-term study skills, I tailor each lesson to their goals and learning style.
I truly enjoy watching students overcome challenges and discover that subjects like biology and chemistry can be both understandable and exciting. I welcome questions, value feedback, and keep communication open with students and parents. If you’re looking for someone who is experienced, patient, and committed to helping you succeed, I’d be happy to work with you. Feel free to reach out anytime!

Genetics

Genetics

I hold a PhD in Molecular Biosciences and have over 10 years of experience studying genetic mechanisms in human neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease. My research has involved analyzing gene expression, genetic pathways, and protein–gene interactions across multiple biological models. I have taught genetics, molecular biology, and cell biology at both undergraduate and graduate levels. I specialize in explaining complex genetic concepts in a clear, intuitive way that supports student mastery.
Guitar

Guitar

I have been playing guitar since I was 10 years old and have developed strong skills in electric guitar performance, technique, and musical interpretation. Over the years, I have recorded multiple videos and performances that demonstrate my proficiency, and I am comfortable reading both standard notation and tablature. I enjoy helping students build confidence in their playing while developing a solid technical foundation. Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve your style and sound, I bring patience, clarity, and passion to every lesson.
Neuroscience

Neuroscience

I hold a PhD in Molecular Neuroscience, where I investigated the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). During my postdoctoral research, I focused on Alzheimer’s disease and related tauopathies, studying how pathological proteins disrupt neuronal function and communication. I have taught neuroscience, molecular biology, and cell biology at both undergraduate and graduate levels. I specialize in helping students break down complex neural concepts into clear, intuitive explanations supported by real scientific examples.
Violin

Violin

I began playing violin at age 13 as part of my middle school orchestra, and I have continued developing my technique and musicality ever since. I have taught violin for many years to students of all ages, consistently helping them achieve strong progress and confidence. In 2019, I founded and directed a community orchestra at my former church, where I taught and conducted students ranging from young children to adults over 50. I am passionate about making violin accessible, enjoyable, and tailored to each student’s learning style.
