I am a certified mathematics educator holding a valid Texas Teaching Certificate, and I have spent the past 24 years teaching high school mathematics in a variety of classroom settings. My academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education, together with a Master’s degree in Mathematics Education. This combination of long-term teaching experience and advanced study has equipped me with a deep understanding of mathematical content, effective instructional strategies, and the developmental needs of diverse learners.

Throughout my career, I have taught a wide range of high school math courses, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Algebraic Reasoning, and Calculus. My teaching experience includes whole-class instruction, small-group intervention, and one-on-one support, both in person and online. I specialize in making complex concepts accessible through clear explanations, visual models, real-world applications, and questioning techniques that guide students toward independent thinking. I also integrate technology such as Desmos and GeoGebra to help students visualize relationships and strengthen conceptual understanding.

I have worked with learners from many backgrounds, including English language learners and students who need differentiated support. Over the years, I have helped students overcome math anxiety, prepare for standardized tests, and develop stronger problem-solving habits. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence step by step. I also specialize in SAT and ACT math preparation, using targeted strategies to help students improve accuracy, pacing, and overall performance. My goal as a tutor is to meet each student at their current level and help them achieve meaningful, long-lasting growth in mathematics.
