I have a strong academic foundation and extensive teaching experience that allow me to effectively tutor students across a range of subjects and standardized tests. I earned a perfect 36 on the ACT and a 1540 on the SAT (800 Math, 740 Reading), and I was recognized as a National Merit Semifinalist. I attended Rice University on a merit scholarship, where I majored in Biosciences with a concentration in Cell Biology & Genetics and minored in Global Health Technologies. After graduating, I worked as a Researcher at MD Anderson Cancer Center, publishing as a first author in a peer-reviewed scientific journal. I am now a fourth-year medical student at McGovern Medical School, where I have over 15 publications and have served in multiple leadership roles. I will graduate with my MD in May 2026 and am applying for residency in anesthesiology.
My teaching experience spans both classroom and one-on-one settings. During college, I worked as an independent SAT and ACT tutor, focusing on building student confidence and strategy through targeted practice and conceptual understanding. I also served as a paid teaching assistant for several undergraduate Biosciences and Global Health courses, where I led lab sections, guided group discussions, and supported students through complex projects. In addition, I have mentored students in scientific research, teaching data analysis, experimental design, and scientific writing.
My tutoring philosophy emphasizes clear reasoning, active recall, and structured problem-solving. I tailor each session to the student’s individual learning style, helping them master content while also developing critical thinking and test-taking strategies. I take pride in creating a supportive, organized, and motivating learning environment that helps students reach their goals with confidence.
