I’m an educator and English language learning specialist with over 13 years of experience teaching across the United States, Colombia, and Mexico. My passion lies in creating classrooms where students feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow—both academically and personally. I believe that meaningful collaboration between students, teachers, and families is the foundation of lasting learning. Whether I’m designing curriculum through the Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop model, mentoring new teachers, or guiding social-emotional learning, my goal is always to build a community rooted in curiosity, empathy, and trust.
My career has taken me from Houston to Medellín to Monterrey, and each setting has deepened my commitment to inclusion and growth. I’ve led professional development for teachers of multilingual learners, supported curriculum alignment across grade levels, and cultivated classroom practices that blend rigor with compassion. As I complete my master’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with a focus on English as a Second Language, I continue to seek new ways to evolve as a learner and leader. Teaching, for me, is not just a profession—it’s an ongoing practice of connection, reflection, and transformation.
