Hello! My name is Ali. I have a PhD in Biomedical Engineering with specific research focus on ovarian cancer metastasis (feel free to chat with me about this if interested!). Throughout my education journey I have always had a passion for math, science and the intersection and blending of these fields. It is because of this I pursued a PhD and why I really enjoy helping others better understand and grasp these concepts.

I have previous experience as a volunteer tutor/mentor where I helped students struggling with various high school math classes improve upon their math skills and grades. Along with this I also have worked as an undergrad and graduate teaching assistant helping to guide students as they attempted to grasp difficult biological and engineering concepts. Furthermore, I have experience coaching and mentoring students one on one as I have acted as a research mentor for 5 high school and undergrad students. As part of this experience I would help guide them in their understanding of their project and mentor them to be independent thinkers and researchers.
