I am a certified high school mathematics teacher with over 17 years of experience teaching in public schools in Texas, primarily in Houston ISD and Aldine ISD. I hold a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and have completed graduate coursework in Applied Mathematics at the University of the Philippines Diliman. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Science in Mathematics Teaching at Texas A&M University. I am certified to teach secondary mathematics in Texas and have extensive experience with curriculum development, instructional leadership, and student-centered learning.

Throughout my career, I have taught a wide range of math courses including Algebra 1, Geometry, Pre-AP and On-Level Algebra 2, Precalculus, and SAT/ACT Math prep. I have also served as a team lead and instructional coach, helping colleagues improve their classroom practices. My approach to tutoring is grounded in clarity, patience, and positive reinforcement. I believe in breaking complex concepts into digestible parts, using real-world examples, and adapting to the student’s learning style. My students consistently show growth in both confidence and performance, whether I work with them in one-on-one sessions, small groups, or virtual settings.

I’ve tutored students from middle school through college, including those preparing for AP, IB, and standardized tests. Many of my students have achieved significant improvements on the SAT, ACT, and in their coursework. I value building strong academic relationships and creating a supportive learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions, take risks, and succeed.
