My teaching journey began in 2016 at an international school in Bangkok. After returning to the United States to complete my second degree, I spent several years teaching in the public sector in Virginia before relocating to Houston, where I am now entering my seventh year at a leading international school.
My passion for teaching is rooted in a strong commitment to pastoral care. I find the greatest fulfillment in helping students uncover their unique strengths, supporting them in both academic achievement and personal growth.
My most recent cohort of IB Language and Literature students (2024-2025) outperformed global standards in every mark scheme:
Paper 1--60% of my students scored in the top two bands (6–7)
Paper 2--56% of my students scored in the top two bands (6-7)
Individual Oral--outperformed globally in 7s and 5s
I am available for assistance with any major IB assessment, whether it be the basics (such as annotating), composing points for your individual oral, moderating past work to move up on the mark schemes, or even just breaking down a text in a way that makes sense to you.
