As a passionate educator and tutor, I find true fulfillment in helping students (elementary-adults) reach their academic and personal goals. Whether you want to practice English pronounciation for school, business, or personal use or need support with reading/phonetics/Dyslexia Intervention, I can help!
With a Bachelor of Arts in English from Prairie View A&M University and certifications in English, Language Arts, and Reading (4–8), as well as an English as a Second Language Supplemental certification (4–8), I bring both professional expertise and heartfelt dedication to my work for over 17 years.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of serving a wide range of learners (one on one, small group, and whole group)—from English Language Learners to students requiring dyslexia intervention. My diverse experience has taught me that every student has a unique path to success, and it's my joy to help them discover it. I’m also proud to hold a certificate of completion from Region 4’s Dyslexia Intervention Program, Reading by Design, which has further equipped me to support students who face reading challenges.
I believe students learn best when they’re actively involved in the process, not just sitting through lectures. My approach focuses on interaction, thoughtful discussion, and positive feedback to build confidence and deepen understanding.
I look forward to continuing to inspire confidence in my students and helping them unlock their full potential—one word, one sentence, and one story at a time.

Approved Subjects

Dyslexia

Dyslexia

I have five years of experience teaching Dyslexia Intervention classes in public schools. Most of my experience has been teaching whole group, however I've had a few one on one as well as small group classes. I've seen more rapid growth when working with students one on one or small group classes rather than whole group classes, so one and one/small group sessions work!
ESL/ESOL

ESL/ESOL

I'm an experienced, certified ESL teacher that will individualized your lessons to best suite your learning goals. From beginners to advanced students, my lessons are interactive and meaningful. I provide positive feedback every step of the way.
Phonics

Phonics

As a Dyslexia Interventionist for over five years, my lessons include interactive, creative, and engaging techniques to support phonics instruction. Such lessons will be individualized to meet each student's phonic goals. I teach with patience and gradual progression that will align with my students.
Spelling

Spelling

I have over 5 years of teaching Dyslexia Intervention in public schools. My lessons will support same or similar spelling techniques from Dyslexia-based curricula. I'm best suited for targeting foundational principles such as strengthening the understanding of word structure, letter-sound relationships, and overall word recognition.
