As a Mechanical Engineering major with a minor in Applied Mathematics at Texas State University, I’ve developed a strong foundation in both theoretical concepts and practical problem-solving. My coursework has covered a wide range of math and science subjects from Calculus I and Calculus II to Physics and Programming equipping me with the depth of knowledge needed to support students at various levels. I’ve also had hands-on experience with software and tools like SolidWorks and MATLAB, giving me an applied perspective I enjoy sharing with others.
In addition to my academic background, I tutor fellow college students for two hours each week through the Texas State University Collaborative Learning Center. In this peer tutoring role, I’ve worked one-on-one and in small group settings to help students build confidence in subjects like algebra, calculus, and introductory physics. I focus on breaking down complex problems into manageable steps and adapting my explanations based on the student’s learning style. Whether I'm helping someone grasp a challenging concept or preparing for an upcoming exam, I aim to create a collaborative environment that encourages questions, critical thinking, and growth.
These experiences have shown me how impactful personalized support can be, and I’m excited to bring that same energy and patience to tutoring through Wyzant. I understand the value of meeting students where they are and building from there something I strive to do with every session.
