I am a bilingual teacher in the state of Texas with a Master of Arts in Spanish Literature and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Religious Studies from The University of Alabama. I am currently completing my teaching certification and have already passed the Texas EC–6 Core Subjects certification exam, which allows me to teach a wide range of elementary-level subjects. My academic background, combined with my passion for language and literacy, has shaped my diverse teaching experience both in the U.S. and abroad.

Over the past 6+ years, I have taught and tutored students ranging in age from toddlers to adults in their seventies. My work has included classroom instruction, small-group interventions, and one-on-one tutoring in subjects such as Spanish, English/ESOL, reading, writing, and elementary math. I’ve taught in public schools, charter schools, private schools, language institutes, and international settings including Peru, Spain (as a Fulbright scholar), and El Salvador. I currently work as an interventionist, where I support students with targeted instruction to close academic gaps and build foundational skills.

My tutoring approach is always student-centered, practical, and grounded in evidence-based strategies. I believe in creating a supportive environment that builds confidence while helping students master content at their own pace. Whether I'm helping a student improve fluency in Spanish, prepare for the STAAR exam, or strengthen reading comprehension, my goal is to make learning accessible, engaging, and personalized.
