I'm Dinesh! I graduated magna cum laude with an associates degree in computer science and a minor in Math. In college I realized that the classes I liked most had professors who took the time to explain the subject from multiple angles and demonstrated the concepts through creative lab experiments. These are the professors who spent more time in their office hours with students who needed extra help with the subject. It is professors like them that inspired me to start tutoring at my college two years ago to help my fellow students get better grades. To be honest I have been informally tutoring my peers since I was 12 years old when my math teachers noticed I have been winning the statewide math championships and asked me to help my peers.
I always loved tutoring because of the sheer number of questions the students would ask on any given topic and to answer them I had to be ten times more prepared, and this made my own understanding of the subject crystal clear. I try to bring decades of informal tutoring and the last two years of officially tutoring college students with a high student satisfaction rate to the table. I also tutored 8th graders in my free time to help improve their grades. One of my students who I am very proud of personally got his grade up from a D all the way to an A in math just after five sessions and all it took was explaining the concepts in a more creative way than his teachers and working through a lot of practice problems.
Over the last two years I tutored several courses starting from Algebra all the way up to Calculus II in Math, starting from High School Physics to University Physics II and Introduction to Programming to Object-Oriented Programming in Computer Science in different programming languages like Python, C++ and Java. Before I was a tutor I worked for a decade as a Software Engineer for several Silicon Valley companies. I worked mainly with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ruby and Python. I am easy to reach. Feel free to schedule a lesson or contact me with more questions.
