I am a dedicated educator with a strong background in early childhood and elementary education. I hold a Bachelors and Master’s in Criminology from Texas Southern and Lamar University, currently I am not a certified teacher however I am in a certification program through Teachers of Tomorrow. Currently, I teach 1st grade, where I focus on foundational literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development. Additionally, I have experience working with 4th and 5th graders, helping them strengthen their critical thinking, reading comprehension, and math skills.

I have worked with students at different developmental stages, allowing me to tailor my instruction to meet individual learning needs. In my classroom, I utilize a variety of teaching methods, including hands-on activities, differentiated instruction, and interactive learning to engage students and foster a love for learning. My experience has also given me insight into effective behavior management and student motivation strategies.

In a tutoring setting, I apply these same principles to create personalized learning experiences that support students’ academic growth. Whether reinforcing fundamental skills for younger learners or providing enrichment for older students, I strive to make learning engaging and accessible. My goal is to build students’ confidence and independence while ensuring they grasp key concepts in a way that makes sense to them.
