I have a PhD in Physics from Texas A&M University, College Station. I am currently teaching University and College Physics at Houston Community College and have previously taught at Blinn College in Bryan. I have several years of tutoring experience and am available to tutor lecture and lab at the University, College and High School levels.
I am passionate about teaching and can easily relate to students. I have taught high school students up to seniors in university. I have experience teaching all aspects of Physics I and II including mechanics, wave theory, thermodynamics, electricity, magnetism, optics and modern physics. I have a unique style of teaching where I teach the students giving them examples from every day life so that they can understand the concepts they learn in class by relating those concepts to what they do in their daily lives.
I show my students how to solve problems by teaching the basics of the equations so that they can easily understand the problems and can solve those problems using the equations provided. I also help with labs and show students how to write a complete lab report. I have had repeat students who took tutoring from me for all pre-requisite Physics classes. Students at HCC have thanked me for "teaching them Physics" which is an honor for me since they learned the material and not just passed the class with a good grade. Learning the basic Physics concepts well will help them in succeeding in future classes in their curriculum.
