Bio

I am a Stanford student majoring in Computer Science. I have been very interested in math from a young age, completing Algebra 1, Geomtery, Algebra 2, Precaclucus, and AP Calculus BC (Score: 5) by eighth grade. During this time, I joined MathCounts at my school and competed in math competitions, placing in the top ten every year starting in third grade. In this club, I often taught my peers different techniques and how to solve problems.

The summer after eighth grade I took Discrete Mathematics and Probability Theory from UC Berkeley, one of the ten hardest courses offered there. I earned an A in this course (much higher than the course average), and I was selected to be an Academic Intern to teach the course the following spring. I was the only high schooler ( a ninth-grader) ever to teach the course, working with a course staff of some of the top students at UC Berkeley.

I continued taking advanced math courses in tenth grade with multivariable calculus. I then tutored some students virtually during my junior year, clearly seeing their improvement in grades and retention of content. At the end of the year, their test scores were significantly beyond what they were projected to be at the beginning of the year. Senior year of high school, my school's AP Calculus BC teacher left a few days before the school year started, leaving the students unable to take the class. I decided to teach the class after school weekly to an audience of about 20 students. The majority of the students earned 5s on the AP exam.

I have a knack and passion for teaching, and I really enjoy seeing students succeed. I am eager to continue helping students do well and get ahead, and with loads of experience in a wide variety of subjects, I'm positive I can help you!
