Hi, I'm Jada! I am a second-year medical student at the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine, expecting my Doctor of Medicine degree in 2027. I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Medicine & Society, earning Dean’s List honors throughout my undergraduate studies.
I have extensive experience in education, having served as a private math and biology tutor from 2019 to 2021. I have worked with students across elementary to high school levels, customizing her approach to ensure a solid understanding of challenging subjects. Additionally, I served as a student teacher, where I taught high school biology, preparing students for the STAAR exam through inquiry-based lessons and close collaboration with Houston Independent School District educators.
I also enjoy research. I begin my first project at Baylor College of Medicine, contributing to pediatric emergency medicine research and assisting with data management and Institutional Review Board (IRB) proposal development. I have also presented my research at the NSF STEM Rise Research Symposium, where I discussed my findings on Alzheimer's Disease and amyloid proteins. I have a strong interest in pediatrics and am highly dedicated to advancing knowledge and supporting educational success in healthcare and beyond.
