I have been writing professionally since I was a journalism student at the University of Texas, one of the top communications programs in the country. I started my career as a broadcast journalist and transitioned to corporate communications in 2000. Since then, I have worked in nearly all facets of business communications, helping clients and companies communicate more effectively to their stakeholders. In 2006, I earned my MBA with concentration in marketing from the University of Tulsa. My experience also includes several years in proposal development for engineering and construction companies. I am have considerable experience writing and editing many styles, from formal academic papers and technical presentations to social media copy. Recently, I helped a client who needed to publish research articles for his PhD, and English was not his native language.

My family is full of educators, so this seems like a natural extension to my career. My grandfather was a university-level physics professor, and my mother is a retired middle school math teacher. My brother coaches baseball and has built a loyal following of clients, some of whom have moved on to compete at the Division I level.
