I'm Stanley! I graduated with a Bachelor's in Biology in 2017; wanting to improve myself more and open more opportunities I went back to school to get my Chemistry degree in 2022. I'm Stanley! I graduated with a Bachelor's in Biology in 2017; wanting to improve myself more and open more opportunities I went back to school to get my Chemistry degree in 2022. One of the main reasons I went back to get my chemistry was to prove to myself that I could get past some of the more difficult classes and that I could go and improve in my maths (which I was horrible at). I happily graduated cum laude and proved that hard work and a little maturity can go a long way for success. I would like to impart these values and the experiences and strategies I've learned to those who may need it.
I have tutored on and off while going through college offering assistance in mainly general chemistry and organic chemistry. I worked mainly 1 on 1 and try to grasp why a student is having difficulties understanding. The most important thing is building a foundation on the topic at hand and if they don't have the foundation they can't move on or understand the question; I try to fix that. To reiterate I tutored in a college setting so I do not provide a lesson plan but more helped answer hw questions and answered students' questions to their professor's lectures when they showed me their notes. To provide an example I was horrible at general physics when I first got my biology degree, the key reason was because I didn't understand SohCahToa, when I went back for my Chem degree I quickly corrected my misunderstandings of how the math worked and easily got an A in the calculus-based physics. I feel these are the general reasons why college students hit roadblocks and I hope to help them find that eureka moment.
I want to help students as much as possible, although my time may be limited; I hope to find the best time that works for all of us for your success.
