About me:
I am an aerospace engineer with NASA who specializes in rocket engines. I hold a bachelor's and a master's degree in aerospace engineering from Georgia Tech. At Georgia Tech, I gained experience as a teaching assistant for three upper-level aerospace courses. There, I was consistently ranked among the top TAs because of my ability to break down complicated math and science concepts into plain English. Having recently been on both sides of the classroom, I understand what it takes to both teach and learn successfully in highly competitive STEM programs.
When it comes to experience and compatibility, I have worked with students of all ages, backgrounds, and academic goals. I most commonly work with high school and college students, but my experience is not limited to just those levels. I have also built successful working relationships with students that have various conditions affecting their learning including ADD/ADHD and high-functioning Autism. I am always flexible and able to adjust my approach to match the needs of each individual student!
Finally, let's talk results. While I work with many students who only need one-off lessons, most students I work with have become recurring students following their first lesson with me. In terms of improvement, I have helped ACT students initially scoring above a 30 to increase their scores by an average of 3 points, or over 100 points for SAT students initially scoring above a 1400. These gains are even more drastic for students with lower initial scores, and thus more room to improve.
